Samaj Pragati Kendra is a non-profitable humanitarian based civil society organization led by women, working among indigenous communities in the rural villages of Jharkhand. The target groups are women, children, girl child, marginalized farmers, and victims of trafficking, unemployed youths and people in difficult situations. The organizational programmes are concentrated on the thematic areas violence and discrimination against women, safety and education of girl child, poverty, rural women entrepreneurships, sustainable agriculture, environment, skill training, advocacy and laisoining with CSRs of corporate and government ministries.

The organization is founded by tribal activists and thinkers for social, economic, education, cultural development in the lives of indigenous community. SPK is registered under Indian Trust Act 1882 bearing No. 24/II/ IV/ 2001, the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), 2010,12A of Income Exception Tax Act, 1961, TAN No. RCHS 02846, NGO DARPAN Registration No. JH/2018/0208459.
